Job Description:
We are recruiting for a Part Time Legal Cashier/Bookkeeper for a law firm based in North Hertfordshire
Part time hours 4 hours a day 5 days a week, a total of 20 hours a week - times worked are flexible
Office based position.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a law firm and be familiar Xero accounting software.
Key Responsibilities:
* Day to day processing of client and office accounts in-line with Solicitors Accounts Rules regulations.
* Administration of online banking system.
* General bookkeeping - including bank reconciliations.
* Managing client bank accounts and processing payments on their behalf.
* Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
* Conducting bookkeeping tasks ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Supporting the year-end accounts process.
* Using Xero accounting software, LEAP and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Liaising with clients and responding to any queries.
Person Specification:
* Experience of working in a law firm
* Experience of Xero accounting software
* Strong attention to detail and have good organisational skills
* Ability to work as part of a small team and independently.
