We are looking to appoint an Associate Buyer / Planner to join the Supply Chain department on a part-time basis.
As part of a dynamic Supply Chain team that values outstanding customer service, you will be working with site personnel to procure raw materials or other materials in support of operational areas, including the contract development and tech transfer groups. You will liaise with a broad range of suppliers and analyze supplier operations using continuous improvement and risk management approaches to determine factors that affect prices and determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. A key aspect of the role will be the ongoing maintenance and evolution of supplier management processes to comply with GMP requirements.
Key responsibilities
* Support onboarding, qualification, and life‑cycle management of suppliers and materials
* Negotiate prices and terms and conditions of supply for products and/or services
* Support CDMO projects from initial development activities through to manufacture
* Use ERP system to plan, purchase and expedite materials in line with project and manufacturing timelines
* Proactively identify and mitigate supply risks, including single-source and long‑lead time items
* Complete assigned activities relating to document revisions, change notifications, deviations and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) in the Quality Management System (QMS), and take an active role in performing investigations and root cause analysis
* Support internal and external quality, HSE and customer audits
* Support process improvements, data analysis, KPI management and root cause investigations
* Demonstrate commitment to the development, implementation and effectiveness of Sekisui Diagnostics’ Quality Management System per MHRA, FDA, ISO and other regulatory agencies or standards
* Support Environmental Management System (EMS) activities and compliance per ISO14001
Qualifications
* Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems are a prerequisite; Microsoft D365 preferred
* Purchasing/planning within a regulated manufacturing environment (GMP preferred)
* Supplier management, procurement processes and risk management tools (e.g. FMEA)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Excel to intermediate level or above
* Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
* Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
