We assist clients in harmonising design drivers through inspired engineering, architecture, and development services.
What you’ll be doing: This role offers an opportunity for career progression as a Structural Engineer within our industry-leading team, known for its reputation and expertise across the built environment. You will help develop our structural investigation service, servicing clients in London, Milton Keynes, and the Midlands.
Duties Include:
* Structural investigation and reporting on various building structures from residential to commercial, using different materials and structural forms
* Assist Operations Director / Director in developing structural investigation services
* Assist Associate Director / Director in managing the structural engineering team
* Manage projects and project teams independently
* Take financial responsibility for your projects
* Prepare fee quotations and handle invoicing
* Manage staff and other consultants
* Collaborate with senior stakeholders and clients
* Conduct site visits, structural surveys, investigations, and repair schemes for issues such as fires and foundation problems
Who we’re looking for: To succeed in this role, you should have a degree (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering and be chartered with ICE, IStructE, or equivalent, or working towards chartership.
Additionally you will:
* Have experience in structural investigations and reporting for low-rise to medium-rise residential and tall buildings, with various materials and structural forms
* Be experienced in identifying, reporting, and repairing building defects
* Be familiar with structural investigations related to building safety and the 'Building Safety Act'
* Be experienced in designing foundations, masonry, concrete, steel, and timber structures to Eurocodes
* Have residential market experience, including traditional and framed structures
* Be familiar with Tekla software (Tekla Designer and Tedds) and AutoCAD/Revit
* Management experience is advantageous
* Be decisive, motivated, proactive, and innovative
