Our team is expanding, and we're looking for a dedicated Logistics Operations Manager to lead our daily operations.
The Role
As a Logistics Operations Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day running of our delivery service. You'll oversee drivers, rota scheduling, and fleet management while ensuring operations run smoothly and efficiently. This is a hands-on position where flexibility is key — you may be required to step in to support on the road during emergencies, vehicle breakdowns, or unexpected driver shortages.
Key Responsibilities
* Recruit, train, and manage a team of delivery drivers.
* Create and manage daily rotas to ensure full route coverage.
* Oversee fleet performance, including maintenance and breakdown support.
* Monitor delivery operations, safety, and performance standards.
* Step in to cover delivery gaps when required.
* Manage driver payments, invoices, and operational administration.
* Build a positive and safety-focused team culture.
Requirements
* Experience in logistics, operations, or people management (delivery industry preferred).
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to stay calm under pressure and make quick decisions.
* Full UK driving licence (essential).
* Willingness to work flexibly, including weekends if required.
* Competence in using IT systems for rota planning and reporting.
