Alternate Saturdays 7:30 to 4:00

The purpose of the receptionist is to ensure the efficient and smooth running of the secure hospital reception area. Effective management of hospital security systems, to promote a professional approach to meeting and greeting visitors and ensure inbound calls are answered and directed to the correct department/individual.

Shifts Pattern

About the part-time receptionist role

* Monday 7:15 to 3:15
* Friday 7:15 to 3:15
* Sunday 7:30 to 4:00 Enhanced rate
* Alternate Saturdays 7:30 to 4:00

The key responsibilities of our receptionists include:

* Managing the secure hospital reception entrance effectively.
* Greeting visitors and callers politely and professionally, representing the company positively.
* Facilitating daily security tasks such as signing out keys and alarms, auditing, testing alarms and pagers.
* Performing reception administrative duties like handling post, photocopying, laminating.
* Operating the company’s central switchboard efficiently and responding promptly to calls, taking accurate messages.
* Maintaining a presentable reception area.
* Completing delegated tasks from the operations manager.

About You

Experience and skills

* At least 1 year experience in a similar environment or receptionist role.
* Proficient in PC skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
* High accuracy in typing.
* Ability to work under pressure and adopt a flexible approach.
* Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
* Ability to follow policies and procedures, ensuring compliance.
* Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
* Willingness to receive supervision, undertake training, and adhere to policies.
