A vacancy has arisen for a Maintenance Joiner within the Estates Department of NHS Highland. The successful applicant will be required to carry out maintenance and repairs of the internal and external building fabric across the NHS Highland Estates area. A current driving licence is essential.
Applicants must be suitably qualified, and time served trades persons, ideally having appropriate Joinery based maintenance experience preferably within a health care environment. However, relevant experience in other industries is also considered advantageous.
Responsibilities
* Carry out maintenance and repairs of the internal and external building fabric across the NHS Highland Estates area.
* Work on own initiative or as part of a team, often on remote sites, with minimal supervision.
* Liaise with various departments and prioritise reactive and planned maintenance works to meet service delivery needs and acceptable timeframes.
* Be flexible with working hours as variations to the standard working week may be necessary to provide the required level of service.
Qualifications and Experience
* Qualified trade person with time served experience in joinery maintenance; ideally in a health care environment.
* Relevant experience in other industries is also advantageous.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good prioritisation and communication skills.
Eligibility
This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Health and Care Worker visa. NHS Highland is unable to provide candidates with a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS).
