Are you a dynamic sales leader ready to shape the future of automotive finance?
At Cox Automotive, we’re looking for a visionary Director of NextGear Sales to drive growth, lead high-performing teams, and strengthen strategic partnerships across the UK.
This is a pivotal leadership role within our Enterprise Sales function, responsible for overseeing Heads of Sales, Account Managers, and Support Executives. You’ll be the driving force behind new loan originations, revenue growth, and risk mitigation—while building lasting relationships with dealers, vendors, and business partners.
As a member of the NextGear Capital Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you’ll also play a key role in shaping the future of the business and representing NextGear across the wider Cox Automotive organisation.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Lead & Develop: Inspire and manage a team of sales leaders and account professionals to deliver against ambitious revenue and EBITDA targets.
* Drive Growth: Build and execute strategic sales plans to attract new customers and deepen existing relationships.
* Collaborate & Influence: Work cross-functionally with Credit, Risk, Finance, Marketing, and Legal to ensure seamless delivery and portfolio performance.
* Represent the Brand: Present at major industry and internal events, translating complex strategies into clear, actionable insights.
* Portfolio Oversight: Monitor and manage customer portfolios, ensuring utilisation, risk control, and proactive engagement.
* Strategic Partnerships: Maintain and grow relationships with key vendors, auctions, and dealer networks.

What You’ll Bring
* Proven leadership in sales within a fast-paced, results-driven environment
* Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking
* Ability to coach, motivate, and develop high-performing teams
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
* Experience in finance, automotive, or portfolio management (preferred)
* Proficiency in Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office tools
* Comfortable with extensive travel and high-pressure environments
