Job description
A client I am working with on an exlcusive basis is seeking a dedicated and experienced Building Control Director to join their team on a permanent basis. This role involves overseeing building inspectors and playing a pivotal role in the development and management of the surveyors within the business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing the activities and performance of building inspectors
2. Supporting the upskilling and professional development of surveyors
3. Ensuring compliance with building control regulations and standards
4. Engaging in man management and fostering a collaborative team environment
5. Contributing to strategic planning and policy development
6. Managing relationships with stakeholders and clients
7. Providing expert advice and guidance on complex building control issues
8. Promoting best practices and continuous improvement within the team
Job Requirements:
9. Extensive experience in building control
10. Strong leadership and management skills
11. Excellent knowledge of building control regulations and standards
12. Proficiency in training and upskilling team members
13. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
14. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
15. Relevant professional qualifications in building control or a related field
