We’re seeking an outstanding Executive Director of People to lead our Adults, Care, & Health & Strategic Commissioning, Children, Families & Education, and Public Health directorates. You’ll set clear strategic direction, drive performance and transformation, and ensure resident‑focused, safe and compliant services aligned to the Wirral Plan and best value. About you You’re an influential senior leader with substantial experience in complex public‑sector environments. You bring: A strong track record of delivering large‑scale change and measurable outcomes. Excellent partnership, stakeholder and political awareness skills. Confidence managing significant budgets and leading multi‑disciplinary teams. The ability to translate strategy into high‑quality services for residents. As a member of the Council’s Senior Leadership Team, you will support the development and delivery of the Councils Corporate Strategy, working with the Chief Executive and other Directors to lead the organisation and enhance the reputation of Wirral as a place leader. You will thrive in a fast-paced, high-profile environment and bring the drive, integrity and leadership behaviours expected of our Leaders. This is a politically restricted post.
