AI & Innovation Manager

We are looking for an AI & Innovation Manager to lead the integration of AI, automation, and digital innovation across a growing medical communications agency. This role will focus on improving productivity, streamlining workflows, and driving internal AI strategy across scientific, editorial, operations, and commercial teams.
This is a highly visible role for someone who combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution and has a passion for transforming how teams work through technology.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute the agency’s internal AI and innovation strategy
* Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through AI and workflow automation
* Implement scalable tools and processes across medical writing, project management, operations, and client services
* Train and support teams in the effective use of AI technologies
* Establish AI governance, compliance, and best-practice frameworks
* Evaluate emerging AI platforms and recommend practical business applications
* Measure productivity improvements and operational impact from AI initiatives
What We’re Looking For
* Experience in AI implementation, innovation, operations, or digital transformation
* Background within medical communications, healthcare, pharma, or life sciences preferred
* Strong understanding of generative AI and workflow automation tools
* Ability to translate technical solutions into practical business outcomes
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
* Commercially minded, proactive, and highly solutions-oriented
Preferred Experience
* Familiarity with tools such as ChatGPT Enterprise, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Zapier, Make, Airtable, or similar platforms
* Experience optimizing workflows and implementing automation solutions
* Understanding of scientific/medical communications environments
