An exciting opportunity has arisen for an office based role, Building Repairs & Minor Works Technicians, to join our existing Repairs and Maintenance Team, within Strategic Facilities Management for Corporate Property and Land. WHAT IS INVOLVED? You will be office based (hybrid working applies), working with a multi-trade disciplinary team whilst supporting the delivery of planned, responsive repairs and minor works across a range of disciplines including general building, roofing, painting, flooring, electrical, mechanical, and minor adaptations work. Working closely with managers and the wider team, you will help coordinate repair activities, ensuring work is delivered efficiently and to a high standard. You will liaise with operational staff, foreman, and subcontractors, playing a key role in keeping services running smoothly and meeting customer expectations. The role operates under the Council’s flexitime scheme, subject to operational requirements. You will need to have an NVQ Level 3 (or educational equivalent) in a relevant field and ideally have experience of working in a customer-focused environment.
