Perform Centre of Excellence - Lead Coach

About The Role
The Perform CoE is a dedicated internal capability, working across Business Solutions functions to drive the adoption of operational excellence tools, create high‑performing teams, and become a continuously improving organisation. Created in 2022, the team runs a number of programmes that transform how we deliver, including leading the deployment of ‘Perform Plus’ internally.
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Manager to take on the role of ‘Lead Coach’ within the Perform CoE for an initial 12 months, fulfilling maternity cover for the current role holder. This position is an internal secondment with a preferred start date of 1st January 2026. The Lead Coach will oversee the work of other coaches and help them develop, managing a team of 4–6 associates and senior associates.
What Your Days Will Look Like
* Leading projects – specifically, the deployment of operational excellence techniques such as ‘Perform Plus’, diagnostic activity, and process reviews.
* Coaching – in addition to coaching juniors, lead coaching to senior stakeholders, often at Senior Manager and Director level.
* Delivering training – lead the delivery of training to Business Solutions teams as part of Perform Plus programmes, and in other settings as required.
* Stakeholder management – main point of contact to sponsors throughout any project, from scoping to benefits realisation.
* Data analysis and benefits reporting – demonstrate improvements to performance through data.
* Developing our approach – contribute to the ongoing development of tools and methodologies, broadening our reach across PwC.
* Travel – may involve regular travel to UK hub office locations, and possibly overseas locations.
This Role Is For You If
* Strong demonstrable experience in operational excellence (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma) and coaching, with a track record of driving change.
* Knowledge of the ‘Perform Plus’ methodology and technology platform or other business performance improvement methodologies.
* Ability to manage teams and stakeholders, leading others through change and leveraging experience to train others.
* A drive to make an impact, investing in teams to deliver high‑performance and simple, impactful delivery.
* Quickly establishes trust with diverse stakeholders and confidently challenges and influences senior personnel.
* Demonstrates strategic and commercial awareness, ideally with insight into the Business Solutions landscape and key back‑office processes.
* Adaptable and effective in leading and coaching others within a flat organisational structure.
* Highly organised, skilled in time and people management, with data analysis and visualization capabilities to illustrate performance improvements, and strong interpersonal skills.
