DWF are currently seeking a Finance & Technology Trainer to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our finance professionals.
This role is crucial to support our team so we can meet our regulatory requirements & embed our new technological platforms to ensure that the team is equipped to meet evolving business needs.
You will be working as part of a team that works across multiple sites and covers international jurisdictions.
The Finance Operations team is currently undergoing significant change as we look to deliver a more efficient service to our internal and external clients..
This role offers the flexibility to be based from our Manchester office on a hybrid basis
Responsibilities
* Design and implement training programmes focused on SRA compliance and new software introduced via the Digital Transformation initiative.
* Deliver engaging sessions using varied formats to suit different learning styles across the Finance Operations team.
* Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, adjusting as needed.
* Collaborate on future planning with the Transformation Manager and finance leadership to shape upcoming learning objectives.
* Manage training resources, including manuals and online materials, to support continuous development.
* Provide coaching and mentoring, maintaining an open-door approach to encourage professional growth.
* Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes to advise management and guide training strategy.
What will help you succeed in this role?
Essential
* Proven experience as a trainer within a corporate environment with an understanding of finance systems
* Ability to engage and motivate diverse audiences in a physical, hybrid or virtual environment.
* Proficiency in training software and tools (e.g., LMS platforms, virtual training tools).
* Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with strong organisation and attention to detail.
* Analytical and adaptable, with the ability to solve problems and respond to changing priorities.
* Collaborative team player who's happy to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in when needed.
* Committed to continuous improvement and creating a supportive learning environment.
Desirable
* Prior law firm experience and knowledge of SRA rules within the context of finance operations
* Certification in training or instructional design (e.g., ATD, CPTD) is a plus.
* Certification or completed courses in SRA regulations
