Randstad Construction & Property are working on behalf of a National Facilities Management company to find an experienced and collaborative M&E Engineer to join their team in Inverness. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out PPMs and reactive maintenance across the various sites.
Location: Central belt
Salary: Competitive (up to GBP45,000 per annum)
Contract: Permanent / Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
1. Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on M&E systems, including HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and building services.
2. Diagnose and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient operation of systems.
3. Perform installations, commissioning, and upgrades of M&E equipment.
4. Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
5. Maintain accurate records and documentation of work activities, inspections, and maintenance schedules.
6. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as an M&E Engineer or in a similar role.
2. Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, BMS, and plumbing.
3. Relevant qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (HNC, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
4. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
6. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
7. Knowledge of current health and safety regulations.
Desirable:
1. Commercial gas and/or F-Gas certification.
2. Experience with energy efficiency and sustainability projects.
3. Familiarity with project management principles.
