Job Description
What will you be doing?
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Business Tax team as an Assistant Manager in Tunbridge Wells. The role involves managing a portfolio of clients, providing tax compliance and advisory services, supporting Managers and Senior Managers, and participating in special assignments and projects.
Responsibilities
1. Drive the delivery of advisory and compliance services daily.
2. Manage client accounts and maintain strong client relationships.
3. Handle budgeting and monitor compliance fees.
4. Coordinate with senior team members, including Partners and Directors.
5. Conduct staff appraisals, training, and mentoring for junior staff.
6. Ensure procedures follow relevant guidance from institutes and HMRC.
7. Meet department KPIs related to billing and recovery.
Qualifications
Key Skills and Experience
1. Relevant tax experience within the profession or industry.
2. Technically capable tax adviser able to handle complex client work.
3. Experience in staff management, mentoring, and supervision.
4. Strong organizational skills for managing multiple assignments.
5. Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
6. Proven project management skills with experience managing a small client portfolio.
