Duties
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen at all times.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods, providing support where needed.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.
* Assist in food preparation as required, demonstrating strong culinary skills across various cooking methods.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment.
* Strong knowledge of food production techniques, culinary practices, and food safety regulations.
* Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse kitchen team.
* Proficient in various cooking methods and techniques with a passion for creating high-quality dishes.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with other kitchen staff and front-of-house teams.
* A culinary qualification or relevant certification is preferred but not essential if experience is substantial.
