Planner role at YTL Construction UK
We are looking for an experienced Project Planner to join our YTL Construction UK team, responsible for developing and maintaining accurate programmes to help Project Managers lead the delivery of major projects, focusing on sewer networks, storm overflows and water supply.
What you’ll do
* Collaborate with project delivery teams.
* Develop, review and progress multiple project programmes.
* Lead discussions on agreed programme durations.
* Proactively assess programme risk to delivery.
* Review and integrate sub‑contract, supplier and third‑party programmes for acceptance by the Project Manager.
* Prepare reports and look‑ahead at project and programme level.
The role involves visiting sites and offices across the Wessex Water region, with some home working possible.
What you’ll need
* Fluent understanding of project management and delivery.
* Results‑focused team player with a can‑do attitude and keen eye for detail.
* Ability to drive projects to successful completion.
* Experience using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project (advanced level).
* Assess contract programmes in line with NEC requirements.
* Working on complex engineering projects.
* Knowledge or transferable experience in water supply and wastewater networks.
* Civil, mechanical and electrical (M&E) design and construction.
* Third‑party and environmental project requirements.
* Balancing demands across a portfolio of projects.
Adaptability and a voice to influence change are encouraged.
Holding a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is required; business expenses will be reimbursed.
