Content creation responsibilities: subject‑matter expert in food content for digital and print; commission and produce compelling short and long‑form content across the content ecosystem, including food features, omnichannel franchises and news stories, ensuring alignment with editorial guidelines and brand voice. Support planning, editing, commissioning and delivery of a weekly trade‑focused newspaper and supporting digital formats that enhance the shopping experience in‑store and online. Meet production schedules and deadlines with internal and external stakeholders. Create SEO‑optimised content for recipe collection pages, individual recipe pages and food guides, ensuring alignment with search intent to improve organic search visibility. Stay ahead of the latest Waitrose food trends, product developments and releases, and collaborate with all Waitrose directorates. Establish and maintain the house style for recipe work and food content, and produce advertorials and commercial content that align with brand objectives while maintaining editorial integrity. Collaborate with Content Media teams to identify measures of success and measure and report on performance. Support events and experiences, and act as the spokesperson and brand ambassador for Waitrose Food & Drink content.
* Food marketing: deep understanding of food and beverage, and networked with industry experts.
* Written communication: excellent writing, briefing, commissioning, proofreading and editing skills; end‑to‑end content marketing production experience.
* Stakeholder management: identify impacts, build sustainable relationships and anticipate challenges.

* Deep understanding of SEO principles; ability to optimise print and digital pages for organic search visibility.
