Home 1 - WS9 A 6-bed Children’s Home in the heart of a residential community. It provides support for children and young people aged 8-18 with moderate to severe learning disabilities, with the option to transition into foster care. The home is aimed at Children and Young People with varying degrees of disability. The home has been carefully adapted to provide specialist accommodation for children and young people with moderate to severe learning disability, Autism, ADHD, PTSD, and associated behavioural challenges, which may also have trauma and attachment difficulties. The aim is to work with children and young people to support them in all aspects of their care, working towards agreed outcomes which are set to focus the personal development of children in areas which present barriers to enabling successful transitions. The home provides a specialist residential and preparatory home for children and young people in full-time education with moderate to severe learning disabilities and complex disabilities. the home has a focus on supporting young people to transition back home to birth/adoptive family, foster placements, or adult services. The home has a history of providing high-quality transitions for young people through integrated support packages, working closely with families, foster carers and adult providers to ensure they have an understanding of the child and how to support their needs. Staff work closely with the child and other professionals to stabilise behaviours and health conditions and develop independence to prepare the child for family or adult life.
