The Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll act as the primary HR contact for the site, supporting both office-based and warehouse teams. This is a broad, generalist role offering real variety and the opportunity to influence at all levels of the business.
Responsibilities:
1. Acting as a trusted advisor to managers on all employee relations matters, including performance, disciplinaries and absence management
2. Supporting and coordinating end-to-end recruitment for site-based roles
3. Developing and delivering onboarding and training initiatives
4. Driving employee engagement and supporting a positive workplace culture
5. Managing HR administration, reporting, and maintaining accurate employee records
6. Supporting payroll inputs, time and attendance, and benefits administration
7. Ensuring HR policies and procedures remain compliant with UK employment legislation
Requirements:
This opportunity is open could well suit an experienced HR Advisor ready to step up or an established HR Business Partner seeking a varied, hands-on role.
You'll ideally have:
8. Proven experience in a generalist HR role (HR Advisor or HR Business Partner level)
9. A solid understanding of UK employment law
10. Strong employee relations experience and confidence supporting managers
11. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
12. A proactive, practical approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities
13. CIPD qualified
14. Experience within a manufacturing, logistics or industrial environment would be advantageous
