We are working with an established System Integrator company based inNottingham, UK.

Our Client are a leading provider of automation solutions within the warehousing and logistics industry, specializing in the design, integration, and installation of control systems for complex logistics operations.
As part of ongoing expansion, they are looking for an experienced and skilledEPlan Design Engineerto join their dynamic team in either Nottingham.
As anEPlan Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing control panels for our cutting-edge solutions used in the warehousing and logistics sectors. You will work closely with project managers, electrical engineers, and automation teams to ensure that the electrical design is fully integrated with system specifications, providing clients with efficient, safe, and reliable systems.
Your expertise in electrical design software, particularlyEPlan, will be vital to the success of the role, as you create comprehensive, accurate control panel designs, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Control Panel Design: Design electrical control panels and associated wiring schematics for automation and control systems, specifically tailored to the warehousing and logistics industry.
* EPlan Software Usage: Create and modify electrical schematics, layout designs, and documentation usingEPlan(or similar design tools), ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
* Collaborative Working: Work closely with project engineers, mechanical engineers, and automation specialists to ensure the design meets functional and regulatory requirements.
* Technical Support: Provide technical guidance during the construction and installation phases, including troubleshooting electrical design issues as they arise.
* System Integration: Ensure designs are compatible with existing systems and integrate smoothly into broader automation projects, including PLCs, HMI, and other automation equipment.
* Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards (e.g., IEC, BS, UL, etc.), health and safety regulations, and client requirements.
* Documentation: Produce clear, accurate documentation for designs, including wiring diagrams, component lists, and specification sheets, ensuring full traceability of design changes.
* Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest technologies, tools, and best practices in electrical design and the logistics industry.
Requirements:
* Experience: Proven experience in designing control panels and electrical schematics, particularly within automation, logistics, or manufacturing industries.
* Software Skills: Strong working knowledge ofEPlan(or similar CAD design tools) for electrical schematic creation and design.
* Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of electrical control systems, circuit design, panel layouts, and associated electrical components.
* Industry Standards: Familiarity with relevant standards such as IEC, BS, and UL for electrical design, as well as safety regulations and compliance procedures.
* Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve design and technical challenges.
* Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with colleagues, clients, and suppliers effectively.
Desirable Requirements:
* Experience in Logistics/Warehousing: Experience working within the warehousing, logistics, or material handling industries.
* Project Management: Exposure to working in a project-based environment, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Electrical Qualifications: Relevant qualifications such as HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or similar would be beneficial.
