Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and confident Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in one of our partner schools in the Boston area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience supporting children with complex or additional needs, or for individuals looking to develop their career within SEND education. The Role As a Specialist SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of SEND needs (including ASC, ADHD, SEMH, MLD or speech & language difficulties). Work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, and wider support team to implement personalised learning plans. Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, sensory needs, and social development. Help create an inclusive, safe, and engaging learning environment. Assist with classroom activities, behaviour support, and adapt learning materials when required. About You We’re looking for someone who is: Patient, resilient, and passionate about supporting children with additional needs. Experienced in an SEN or care setting (desirable but not essential). Confident working with challenging behaviours or complex needs. Able to build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff. Willing to learn, take direction, and be part of a supportive team. Relevant qualifications (such as Level 2/3 TA, psychology, childcare, or SEN-specific training) are welcomed but not required.
