The role You’ll be teaching English across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to work with motivated pupils in a well-established department. Planning is shared, resources are in place, and you’ll be supported by experienced colleagues who value good teaching over unnecessary paperwork. Your role will include: Teaching engaging English lessons across KS3 and KS4 Delivering a well-sequenced curriculum with strong departmental support Creating a positive, structured classroom environment Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching where needed Working collaboratively within the English department and wider school team There may be opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 for the right candidate. What we’re looking for UK QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom practice A calm, consistent approach to behaviour management An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply ECTs are very welcome to apply.
