URGENT VACANCY - HR BUSINESS PARTNER (PO4)
Lisburn HQ £24.41 per hour 36.25 hrs per week Up to 6 months (possible extension)
We are urgently recruiting on behalf of our public sector client for an experienced HR Business Partner (PO4) to join the People & Culture Directorate within the Human Resources Advisory function. This role is available for immediate start and will be based at NIFRS Lisburn Headquarters.
This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional with strong experience in employee relations, HR business partnering, and delivering expert HR advice in a complex organisation.
About the Role
The HR Business Partner will provide professional HR advice, support and guidance to middle and senior managers across operational and corporate areas, ensuring the effective application of HR policies, procedures, and terms & conditions. The post holder will contribute to the delivery of a modern and responsive HR service aligned to the vision and mission of NIFRS.

Key Responsibilities Include:
* Providing expert HR advice on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters
* Supporting managers on discipline, grievance, dignity at work, attendance management and performance issues
* Ensuring consistent HR advisory practice across business partnering teams
* Coordinating Employee Relations casework including hearings, appeals and tribunal preparation
* Producing monthly HR analytics to support management decision making
* Participating in recruitment activity and supporting organisational change processes
* Developing and delivering learning and development interventions for ER/HRBP topics
* Supporting policy development, research and review work
* Liaising with key stakeholders, including senior leadership teams and trade unions
Essential Criteria
Candidates must meet the following (supported by the official Person Specification):
• Degree (Level 6) AND current professional CIPD membership OR Degree (Level 6) and working towards CIPD membership
• Minimum 3 years HR experience providing advice on core employee relations issues including discipline, grievance, attendance management and dignity at work in a unionised environment
• Experience providing HR advice at senior level
• Strong knowledge of employment legislation
• Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills
• Ability to produce accurate HR reports and support training delivery
• Full current UK driving licence OR access to suitable transport
