We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and forward-thinking surgical first assistant to work within our orthopaedic team at the National Treatment Centre - Highland (NTC) Theatre Team. We would welcome qualified applicants or those who wish to develop and undertake the SFA course through the NHS Scotland Academy (NHSSA). Applicants must have 3 years scrub experience.
The NTC-H is a new purpose built centre which will provide care for both Ophthalmology and Orthopaedic Patients. The Centre is under construction on the City's University Campus and has 5 theatres, a 24-bedded ward and dedicated Ophthalmology Outpatient Department.
This post will offer a unique opportunity to specialise in orthopaedics, primarily hip/knee arthroplasty with some exposure to hand, foot & ankle surgery. The successful applicant will be one of four SFA's within the NTC and become a valuable member of the team.
