A multi-academy trust has approached Hays looking for Interim IT support at a school in Walkden. There are around 1500 pupils aged 11-16.
Your new role
In this role you will provide day-to-day IT support in the school. You will be working alongside another IT Technician:
1. Providing assistance and advice to staff and students as required.
2. Providing technical support, ensuring IT systems are effective, efficient and secure.
3. Undertaking day-to-day management of incidents and requests
4. Setting up equipment such as laptops, data projectors, interactive whiteboards, sound systems and other specialist IT equipment, ensuring that systems are ready for use and operating correctly.
5. Providing advice, guidance and assistance to teachers, pupils and other members of staff on the use of IT in the school
6. Maintaining IT installations, peripherals and software; restoring faults, replacing consumables, updating software and setting up new equipment.
7. Detecting, diagnose and resolveputer, server and peripheral device faults. Interpret diagnostic information, prioritise resolutions and determine if external support is required.
What you'll need to succeed
8. Have experience in an IT support role (education sector experience desirable)
9. Technical ability
10. The ability to build relationships
11. Excellent organisation and administrative skills
12. Excellentmunication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
13. Enhanced DBS
