Our children are incredible and will definitely keep you on your toes with no two days the same. Although it can be challenging at times, it can also be the most fun and rewarding job you will ever have! A sense of humour is a must! Our children are with us for a variety of reasons and many will have experienced traumatic life events. They need empathy, care, love, play and stability to help them flourish and move onto the next stage of their life, whether that is going home, independence, university or another placement. This is the key requisite for all our employees. Clear communication skills: Effective communication, both verbal and written, is vital. Your ability to express yourself clearly and appropriately will ensure smooth interactions and understanding among team members and the children and young people in your care. A creative approach: We encourage you to think outside the box and come up with innovative ways to engage and support each individual child or young person.
