Public and Green Spaces Operator – Exeter – Driving licence required!

WB Employment (operating as an employment business) is currently recruiting for a Public and Green Spaces Operator to work for our client based in Exeter.
Shift Pattern: Shifts start between 05:00 and 07:00 and finish between 13:00 and 18:00, covering 5 out of 7 days, depending on the role.
Pay rate: £12.60 per hour
Overtime rate (over 37 hours): £18.39 per hour
Bank Holidays: £36.78 per hour
The main purpose of the role is to undertake cleansing services to maintain the city's appearance.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Responsibility within an identified area, either solo or as part of a team, for:
o Removing litter and emptying bins regularly
o Removing graffiti, fly posting, trimming weeds, cleaning public toilets or car parks as needed
o Conducting basic condition inspections and reporting maintenance issues
o Identifying reactive work for specialist teams (e.g., grass cutting, graffiti removal, tree work)
2. Reporting issues affecting the public realm, such as damaged furniture, fly tipping, stray animals, abandoned vehicles, or illegal land use.
3. Undertaking training on equipment safety and working practices, ensuring safe and effective work according to policies.
4. Basic recording of information, such as equipment checks and timesheets.
5. Working flexibly across shift patterns to meet service demands.
6. Performing other relevant duties as needed.

* Driving Licence with no more than 3 points
