The school hiring will provide full training so that you can facilitate ABA therapy and help these children along their academic journey.
Role
The role as a Trainee Therapy Assistant:
* Your main duty and role will be to support the students in the classroom.
* The support you provide will be either in a small group setting or 1 to 1.
* Your priority will be to ensure that these children have a warm and safe environment to come to everyday so that learning can take place.
* You will be supported by the class teacher and also have the advantage of being exposed to a multi-disciplinary team.
* This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals who are looking to make a difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
* Individuals who are aspiring graduates and those looking to start a career in either education or psychology are most welcome to apply.
* Those with backgrounds in sports, art or drama are also encouraged to apply.
Requirements for the Trainee Therapy Assistant
* Will be calm, passionate about making a difference and positive
* Will have some experience working with children
* Will understand the importance of safeguarding
* Will have a DBS certificate or be willing to obtain one
