Spare Parts Data Specialist
Location: Badentoy or Portlethen
Contract: 3 months
JAB Recruitment is representing our client to appoint a technically capable Spare Parts Data Specialist to support spare-part management activities across tender and project phases. This role is critical to ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and availability of spare-part information used by engineering, supply chain, and project teams. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including procurement, engineering, OEMs, and suppliers, while managing data within systems such as D365, Oracle, Teamcenter, and other project information platforms.
Key Responsibilities
• Create, maintain, and structure spare-part records, including part-number creation and classification
• Review engineering drawings, vendor documents, and technical specifications to identify and verify spare parts
• Ensure spare-part lists and documentation are complete and aligned with Bills of Materials
• Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams to validate data and ensure technical compliance
• Support lifecycle planning and traceability activities throughout the project
• Manage Part Number Requests and maintain structured, traceable data across relevant systems
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to data quality and workflow optimisation
Qualifications & Skills
• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline, or equivalent technical experience
• Experience in spare-part management, technical documentation, or project data environments, ideally within Oil & Gas
• Familiarity with ERP/PLM systems such as D365, Oracle, Teamcenter, or similar
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, standards, and equipment specifications
• Strong communication skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Confident working with technical data, structured workflows, and cross-functional teams
