Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a busy Car Parking & Security Team within the Directorate of Estates, Facilities & PFI. The post holder will be responsible for a full range of Car Parking and Security duties within the Car Parking & Security Department at County Hospital.

Pay
Basic pay: £12.48 per hour.
Additional payments
* Unsociable hours – for all hours worked between 20.00 and 06.00, an additional 41% per hour on top of basic pay.
* Saturday Working – for all hours worked on a Saturday, an additional 41% per hour on top of basic pay.
* Sunday Working – for all hours worked on a Sunday, an additional 83% per hour on top of basic pay.
Car Parking & Security is a 24/7 service. The successful candidate will be expected to work 37.5 hours, 5 out of 7 days through a rolling rota shift pattern.
Main duties
Responsibilities include providing and maintaining a professional, efficient, effective and timely service to patients, visitors and departments. The role involves long periods of walking up to 10,000 steps per day, management of the County hospital car parks, dealing with alarms, monitoring CCTV and security incidents, including restraint as required. Experience is beneficial but full training can be provided. The department operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, on a rolling shift pattern including weekends. A flexible approach to work, smart appearance, good communication skills and a high standard of customer care are required.
