About the role
To contribute to achieving the Vision, Mission and Values of Suffolk Constabulary. To identify risks presented to the public from an individual through their employment or voluntary activities, ensuring that all relevant information is passed to the employers or regulatory body through a confidential, timely and accurate disclosure service. Provide relevant information to Local Authorities in conjunction with a Section 7 Court Order.
The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent communication skills and their ability to work effectively as part of a team. They will demonstrate skills to work on their own initiative with the ability to effectively organise and prioritise their workload with minimal supervision. They will demonstrate their ability to analyse sensitive data, and produce well‑written, accurate and decisive reports. The successful applicant will demonstrate practical experience of Microsoft Office programs, and database interrogation. The successful applicant will also demonstrate an understanding of information management and disclosure of police information.
It is essential that applicants meet the following criteria
1. Ability to work on own initiative, effectively prioritise work and work to strict deadlines whilst paying close attention detail and accuracy.
2. Practical experience of IT packages, including database use and interrogation.
3. Analysis and evaluation of data and presentation of the findings through a structured report.
4. A high level of integrity and confidentiality.
5. Good standard of written and verbal communication for correspondence and reports clearly and concisely.
6. The ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication and customer care skills.
7. Ability to display a logical, clear‑thinking and decisive approach in a professional, understanding manner whilst obtaining and assessing information.
8. Ability to work with minimum supervision.

* Evidence of working in a disclosure environment
* Knowledge of relevant legislation
* Ability to travel as required throughout Norfolk and Suffolk and to other locations as appropriate
