Duties
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
* Oversee kitchen operations, ensuring that all food is prepared safely and efficiently
* Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimising waste
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety regulations
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to create new menu items and improve existing recipes
* Ensure that all meals are served promptly and meet quality expectations
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety practices
Experience
* Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting
* Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
* Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable
* Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
