The Commercial Asset Management Manager of International SPM is responsible for driving commercial and financial enhancements across our SPM Loan & Consignment stocks (fleet). Initial efforts will focus on major fleet countries: Spain, Italy, Germany, UK, Japan, and Australia, before growing to the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Nordics, Portugal, and New Zealand.
The role:
* Coordinate customer account strategies with asset and inventory allocation
* Drive initiatives to increase fleet profitability and productivity of surgical systems
* Function as a subject matter expert in fleet return on investment), aiding all partners in understanding key drivers that can enhance profitability
* Empower and educate teams to effectively communicate improvement initiatives to the sales force and customers.
* Provide guidance to the supply chain team on fleet asset and inventory requirements to realize commercial strategies across SPM International.
* Develop, implement, and manage a standardized process which includes forecasting fleet requirements, sales funnel management, reviewing and improving fleet profitability/productivity, rebalancing resources, and setting & tracking KPI/targets.
* Assess the entire SPM International fleet to identify high and low performing set/account combinations.
* Collaboratively develop improvement plans with local teams
* Integrate assessment findings into account segmentation and targeting, advising account strategy based on current performance and improvement plans
* Create execution plans that include targets and deadlines for various improvement plans (stock rightsizing, volume increase, contract adjustment, etc). Prioritize actions in a sequence that reflects feasibility and impact.
* Provide guidance on allocation logic and in rebalancing stock
* Lead the set forecasting effort in consideration of existing fleet productivity, ensuring healthy correlation between teams
* Provide strategic commercial direction for SPM System Centre concept in conjunction with SPM Fleet Director, including decisions on the centre's development capabilities.
* Provide support and guidance to projects dependent on fleet management, cost to serve, etc., such as the European distribution optimization project (EDOP), Move Medical, and Configure Price Quote (CPQ) for commercial related matters.
* Define business requirements for future SAP enhancements to ensure standard business practices are supported and executable.
* Convey reporting requirements to the BI Team to develop an automated, standard cross-region reporting system.
* Act as a liaison with Regional Marketing, R&D, and other relevant organizations to understand portfolio development strategy and incorporate fleet needs and requirements for the international region.
* Consult to ensure countries establish processes for consignment counts (understand walking implants impact) and adhere to local regulations and policies.
* Foster relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
* Promote a culture of success and collaboration.
* Proven experience, preferably in an international context and within the medical device, or related industry.
* Proven track record in driving profitability and productivity within a large-scale, multi-national cooperation.
* Experience in strategic account planning and driving account growth, coordinating with sales, marketing, and operations teams for execution
* Proven ability to analyse account performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement critical initiatives that boost profitability and customer loyalty
* Familiarity with the regulatory, legal, and compliance aspects of international operations
* Experience with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus
* Fluency in English, any other languages being a major plus
* Agility to travel (travel up to 50%)
