Band 6 Diabetes Dietitian Maternity Cover
We are looking for a Band 6 Dietitian to provide maternity leave cover within our Adult Diabetes Dietetic Service. The role is based primarily in the outpatient service at New Victoria Hospital, with additional support at Gartnavel General Hospital and across Greater Glasgow and Clyde as required.
Role Details
* Location: New Victoria Hospital
* Duration: Fixed‑Term 12 months (0.8 WTE, 28.8 hours per week)
* Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
* Salary: Pro rata for part‑time hours
Responsibilities
* Deliver one‑to‑one dietetic consultations to adults with diabetes.
* Facilitate group education sessions, including structured diabetes education programmes.
* Support pathway improvement and service development across the wider diabetes dietetic service.
* Participate in dietetic practice placements, supporting student development.
Qualifications and Experience
* BSc (Hons) Dietetics or equivalent; registration with the Health and Care Professionals Council.
* Member of the British Dietetic Association, with record of continuing professional development at Master’s level or equivalent.
* Post‑graduate experience in dietetic practice within a multidisciplinary team.
* Experience delivering group education sessions and, ideally, structured Type 1 education.
* Experience working with people living with diabetes is essential.
* Evidence of audit experience and impact on practice, and experience in a clinical supervisory capacity.
* Accredited educator for structured group education is desirable.
