Job Title: Business Support Lead
Location: Broxbourne
Job Type: Part-time
Reporting to: Senior Management Team
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and adaptable Business Support Lead to keep the day-to-day running of our business seamless and efficient. This is a hands-on, varied role ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, balancing digital tasks, operational responsibilities, and facilities oversight. Youll be working closely with our sales team and senior leadership, playing a critical part in supporting business development, maintaining a smooth workspace, and contributing to strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Support
Monitor and manage company inboxes; respond to messages when appropriate and forward leads to the sales team.
Assist in identifying prospects, crafting outreach with the sales team for executive searches.
Post weekly thought-leadership content to senior team social media accounts on relevant industry topics.
2. Office & Facilities Oversight
Maintain cleanliness and order in the workspace, including desks, monitors, floors, windows, and shared areas.
Manage office upkeep: bins, plants, towels, dishwasher, and basic day-to-day tasks to support a pleasant working environment.
Coordinate external service providers (e.g., window cleaners, plumbers, alarm servicing).
Oversee general facilities including heating schedules, security systems, and stock levels (e.g., stationery).
3. Finance & Invoicing
Create and send invoices with accuracy, tracking payments and ensuring adherence to agreed terms (e.g., 30/60/90-day payment windows).
Assist in quarterly budgeting and projections, helping to align financial processes with business goals.
4. Property & Compliance
Handle tenant maintenance issues and ensure that all required property certificates and regulatory documents are up to date.
Act as a liaison for property-related coordination with contractors and vendors.
5. Documentation & Compliance
Complete and submit tenders and Preferred Supplier Lists (PSL), including corporate documentation such as VAT numbers and registered details.
Prepare documents for digital or physical signatures, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
6. Marketing & Digital Operations
Provide input on digital marketing strategy, content ideas, and campaigns.
Maintain and update the company website, ensuring content is current and systems function correctly.
What Were Looking For
Strong organizational and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Comfortable using business social media, digital tools, and basic accounting/invoicing software.
A flexible, hands-on attitude with a willingness to own varied tasks and see them through.
Clear communicator with both internal and external stakeholders.
Confident with light cleaning and office upkeep as part of daily routines.
Desirable (but not essential)
Experience in a business support, facilities, or operations coordination role.
Familiarity with invoice tracking tools and basic budgeting.
Exposure to digital marketing platforms or website CMS systems.
