We are committed to using data-driven insights to continuously improve outcomes for our customers and carers.</p><h3><b>About the role</b></h3><p>We’re looking for a Senior SEO Executive to support our SEO Manager in growing elder.orgs organic performance across Google search and emerging discovery platforms. This role is ideal for someone with a strong grasp of SEO fundamentals who’s ready to apply them at scale in a fast-growing, purpose-led business.</p><p>You’ll work closely with the SEO Manager to help ensure elder.org is discoverable not just on Google, but across platforms where people increasingly search for information, including AI-powered search experiences like Google AI Overviews, AI Mode and ChatGPT.</p><h3><b>What you’ll be responsible for</b></h3><h3><b>Core SEO support</b></h3><p>You’ll support day-to-day SEO activity, including:</p><ul><li>On-page optimisation (e.g. meta titles and descriptions, heading structures, internal linking, and image optimisation)</li><li>Updating and improving existing content to increase visibility, rankings and engagement</li><li>Carrying out keyword research for new and existing pages, informed by user intent and search behaviour.</li><li>Writing, editing and optimising high-quality SEO content in English, including landing pages and blog articles, based on keyword research, content gaps and user needs.</li></ul><h3><b>Search beyond Google</b></h3><p>You’ll help ensure elder.org is discoverable wherever people look for answers, including:</p><ul><li>Supporting content optimisation to improve how it is surfaced in modern search experiences (e.g. AI Overviews, AI Mode, large language models)</li><li>Learning how emerging discovery platforms impact SEO and applying relevant best practices</li><li>Monitoring changes in user behaviour and supporting the identification of new SEO opportunities</li></ul><h3><b>Technical SEO fundamentals</b></h3><p>You won’t be expected to lead complex technical projects independently, but you should be confident in understanding issues, explaining them clearly, and supporting implementation.</p><p>You’ll support the implementation of technical SEO improvements, such as:</p><ul><li>Identifying duplicate content, redirect issues or broken internal links using tools like Google Search Console and Screaming Frog</li><li>Working with the SEO Manager and engineers to help prioritise and validate fixes.</li></ul><h3><b>Cross-channel collaboration</b></h3><p>This role goes beyond traditional website SEO. You’ll collaborate closely with other teams to maximise organic performance:</p><ul><li>Social: Work with the Social Media Manager to inform content topics and optimise discoverability (e.g. titles, captions, keywords) on our social media</li><li>CRO: Work with the CRO Lead to support improvements to conversion rates on key landing pages, using SEO insights to inform testing and optimisation</li><li>Product & Engineering: Collaborate on site improvements and new features, supporting the implementation of SEO best practices</li></ul><h3><b>Essential experience & skills</b></h3><ul><li>A solid understanding of SEO best practices, including content creation and technical SEO optimisations</li><li>Proven experience writing and editing high-quality content in English for SEO purposes, with the ability to create content that aligns with user intent, brand tone and business goals</li><li>Comfortable working independently with these SEO and Analytics tools (you don’t need to be an expert in all of them):
<ul><li>Google Search Console</li><li>Ahrefs, SEMrush or similar</li><li>GA4</li><li>Screaming Frog</li></ul></li><li>Experience analysing performance data and turning insights into clear, prioritised recommendations</li><li>Confidence running competitor analysis and identifying content or keyword gaps</li></ul><h3><b>How you work</b></h3><ul><li>Proactive and self‑motivated – you spot opportunities and issues without needing constant direction</li><li>Curious and eager to learn, especially through hands‑on experimentation</li><li>Comfortable working closely with an SEO Manager in a small team and taking ownership of defined areas of work</li><li>Clear communicator, able to explain SEO insights to non-SEO stakeholders</li></ul><h3><b>SEO mindset & future focus</b></h3><ul><li>Keep up to date with SEO trends, Google algorithm updates and industry changes</li><li>Strong interest in how AI, social search and changing user behaviour are reshaping organic discovery</li><li>Enjoy testing ideas, learning from results, and iterating based on what works</li></ul><h3><b>Nice to have (but not essential)</b></h3><ul><li>Experience in marketplaces, healthcare, or care-related sectors</li><li>Familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Sanity or similar</li></ul></div>
