Role: Assistant Accountant

I’m working with a high-growth business on an exciting scale-up journey, with ambitious plans to significantly increase revenue over the coming years.
With a strong focus on performance, efficiency, and continuous improvement, they’ve built a collaborative, fast-paced environment and are now looking to strengthen their finance team with the addition of a Assistant Accountant.
The Role:
This is a varied, hands-on position supporting the day-to-day finance function, with a clear pathway into management accounting as the role develops.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ownership of credit control, including reconciliations and aged debt management
2. Supporting month-end close with schedules and analysis
3. Maintaining prepayments and fixed asset schedules
4. Assisting with cashflow forecasting and reconciliations
5. Preparing expense reporting and supporting operational insight
6. Assisting with variance analysis and ad hoc reporting
About You:
7. Experience in a Finance Assistant or similar role
8. Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
9. Comfortable working with reconciliations and financial data
10. Ambitious and keen to progress into management accounting
11. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
12. Experience in a fast-paced or scaling environment is advantageous
