About the Role
The Hounslow Speech and Language Therapy Team invites Band 5 Speech and Language Therapists (SLTs) to join our specialist centres and units team. We especially welcome students who are starting their first role.
Key Responsibilities
* Work alongside allied health professionals and education settings to deliver high‑quality care for school‑aged children and young people.
* Deliver assessment and management for children with speech, language or communication needs, ensuring the service is responsive to the changing needs of the local population.
* Ensure effective joint working with the SLT service, other speech & language therapists and relevant professional teams in health, education, voluntary sector, social services, etc.
* Deliver training to parents and professionals to develop their skills and support children’s communication progress.
* Provide therapy for children with a range of speech, language and communication needs alongside other SLTs or therapy assistants.
* Maintain up‑to‑date theoretical knowledge and evidence‑based practice relevant to your clinical practice.
