Pay & Shift Pattern
This is a role for female drivers with previous care experience. You'll work regular evening/twilight shifts (exact start and finish times to be confirmed), including some weekend nights as part of your rota. Full details of the shift pattern will be discussed and confirmed at interview.
* Pay: £15.30 per hour – drivers
* Mileage: 45p per mile
Working Hours
* 10:00pm until 4:00am
* Working 3 or 4 twilight/night shifts per week
* Weekend working on a rotation
Where You'll Work
You'll support people in their own homes across Manchester (city-wide), helping them to stay safe, comfortable and independent at home during the evening and night.
You'll be working on double-up care, meaning you visit people in pairs rather than alone, and you'll be supported by an on-call rota so there's always someone to contact for guidance or support during your shift.
Job Description
If you have previous experience as a care worker, you'll make an excellent twilight Care Assistant. You will:
* Support people to achieve their personal outcomes, working alongside families and professionals
* Provide dignified personal care that respects privacy and choice
* Promote independence and confidence using enabling approaches
* Deliver personalised care based on individual needs, choices, and preferences
* Communicate clearly, recording and sharing information with the right people at the right time
* Help people stay connected to their community, accessing local services and support
Induction Training
You'll receive comprehensive paid induction training, including:
* Be Caring values, going Above & Beyond to meet personal outcomes.
* Dignity and respect, safeguarding and equality and diversity
* Confidentiality and professional boundaries.
* Fluids and nutrition and safe administration of medication.
* Moving and positioning, basic life support, and pressure sores (React to Red)
* Infection prevention and control, health and safety.
* Learning Disabilities (Oliver McGowan Tier 1), mental health and capacity.
