About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a leading facilities management team supporting a portfolio of commercial sites. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer who takes pride in delivering high-quality maintenance, ensuring compliance, and building strong relationships with clients.
You will be responsible for delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across commercial heating and gas systems, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with agreed service level agreements.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) in line with schedules, industry best practices, and KPI targets, ensuring all tasks are completed by the required due dates.
Respond to reactive maintenance requests within agreed SLAs and complete repairs effectively.
Complete risk assessments prior to undertaking all PPM and reactive works.
Identify and request any required parts or materials needed to complete works.
Maintain accurate documentation and service reports, ensuring all paperwork is submitted to the administration team within required timeframes.
Conduct weekly proactive site inspections, raising reactive jobs where necessary and completing remedial works to maintain site standards.
Utilise site software systems effectively to record work activities and identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency.
Attend client meetings when required and provide clear technical updates.
Support the sales team by providing technical information required for remedial quotations.
Maintain professional standards at all times, including presentation, behaviour, and communication with clients and colleagues.
Promote a safe and healthy working environment, ensuring all company health and safety procedures are followed.
Maintain and develop technical skills through ongoing professional development.
Requirements
Proven experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer within a facilities management or building services environment.
Relevant commercial gas qualifications (ACS).
Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience on commercial heating systems.
Experience delivering both PPM and reactive maintenance.
Good understanding of health & safety practices and risk assessments.
Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
Full UK driving licence.
