We are looking for a committed, motivated and capable individual to join our team in this key role to lead by example and coordinate the daily tasks of a dedicated estates team. This role will operate over either a 6am - 2pm or a 12pm - 8pm working pattern to support our busy campus as we service various users and stakeholders. Your Duties This role includes the following duties; To provide effective operational leadership for the Estates Support team. Ensure College building stock including plant, structures and all ancillary equipment is maintained in accordance with the high standards set by the College and as per regulatory requirements. To ensure that teaching facilities including furniture, fixture and fittings are available, cleaned and maintained to provide a high-quality student experience. Take a leadership role in carrying out all minor repairs on site such as light bulb replacement, leaking taps, touching up paint work, fixing door handles, repairing toilet cisterns etc. and escalating additional works and repairs to the helpdesk in a timely manner. Ensuring bins are emptied throughout the day, sweep up any debris within carparks and grounds, ensure litter picking is done throughout the day. Monitor the outsourced cleaners and grounds staff. There may be some small amounts of ground works and grounds maintenance to be carried out when required. Carry out furniture, equipment and office moves as required. Person Specification The successful candidate will ideally hold a relevant Level 2 trade skills qualification in a relevant subject such as electrical, plumbing or carpentry. You will have experience of working in a similar role and have extensive DIY experience or a work history in the trade. You will be willing to work flexibly to meet the needs of the business and be able to manage stakeholder expectations through effective customer service skills.
