Sales Development Representative

LegalTech SaaS Vendor | Sheffield | Hybrid

Salary: £30,000 to £45,000 base + £100 per qualified meeting booked

Our client is an innovative LegalTech SaaS vendor transforming how law firms manage, automate, and streamline their commercial processes. With a growing footprint across SME, Mid Market, and Large legal practices, they are expanding their commercial team to support continued demand for their platform. The business is headquartered in Sheffield and operates a flexible hybrid model.


Role Overview


The Sales Development Representative will be responsible for generating new business opportunities and booking qualified meetings for the sales team. This is a solution led environment rather than a volume driven role. Sales cycles are longer, buyers are sophisticated, and conversations require curiosity, insight, and an ability to uncover specific operational pain points within law firms.


Candidates with experience selling technology or software into legal firms will be at a strong advantage.


Key Responsibilities

* Identify, qualify, and engage prospective clients across SME, Mid Market, and Large law firms.
* Conduct research to understand each prospect's structure, workflows, and potential challenges.
* Build targeted outreach strategies via email, phone, and LinkedIn to generate interest.
* Nurture early stage conversations and guide prospects towards booked discovery meetings.
* Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline notes for the sales team.
* Collaborate closely with Account Executives to understand ideal customer profiles and refine messaging.
* Represent the business professionally and act as the first point of contact for new law firm prospects.


Required Skills and Experience


* Proven experience in lead generation, business development, or SDR roles within SaaS, technology, or a related B2B environment.
* Experience selling into legal firms or working within the LegalTech market is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills across phone, email, and digital channels.
* Ability to take a solutions led approach rather than relying on high volume outreach.
* Curiosity, resilience, and the ability to build rapport with senior stakeholders such as Partners, COOs, and Heads of Operations within law firms.
* Self motivated attitude with strong organisation and pipeline discipline.
