Are you a Behaviour Support Worker that enjoys the flexibility of supply?
We are supporting several SEN and SEMH provisions in Harrogate to appoint Behaviour Support Workers to support their schools and staff.
We are looking for individuals with previous experience working with challenging behaviour. We are also interested in hearing from those with a strong care and sports background seeking to transition their skills into an education setting. Graduates are encouraged to apply, as supply work is a great way to build experience.
Your role will involve providing support, guidance, and short-term intervention to students to remove barriers to learning, promote effective participation, raise self-esteem, enhance individual learning, and raise aspirations to help students reach their full potential.
As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will work with individual pupils, groups, and whole classes, supporting pupils with various abilities alongside the Class Teacher.
Our schools offer part-time, full-time, short-term, and long-term roles.
Requirements
* Ability to work with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
* Excellent written, listening, and oral communication skills; high-level organizational skills
* Experience working with secondary age pupils
* Two references
* A valid DBS or willingness to obtain one
* Team Teach certification is desirable

Rate of pay depends on current grade, experience, and payroll method.
