Plumber
Location: Oxford
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Annual Salary: Up to £39,000 per annum

Hours: 42.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm)
Day-to-Day Duties
1. Carry out responsive plumbing repairs in occupied properties
2. Diagnose and repair leaks, blockages, and drainage issues
3. Replace taps, toilets, cisterns, basins, and other sanitary ware
4. Repair or replace pipework, valves, and fittings
5. Work on unvented cylinders
6. Investigate and resolve issues with hot water systems and radiators
7. Remove, repair, and refit bath panels to access pipework, ensuring a professional finish
8. Ensure all works comply with current plumbing regulations and health and safety standards
9. Record job details, materials used, and completion notes using handheld devices or job sheets
10. Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working order
11. Work respectfully in residents’ homes, keeping work areas clean and safe
12. Identify and report any follow-on works, safeguarding concerns, or property issues
13. Participate in the out-of-hours emergency rota when required
14. Deliver high levels of customer care at all times
Role Criteria
15. Proven experience in domestic plumbing repairs and maintenance
16. Experience working in occupied properties, ideally within social housing
17. Full UK driving licence
18. Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
19. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
20. Good understanding of health and safety and safe working practices
21. Confident using handheld devices or job management systems
22. Willingness to take part in an out-of-hours rota

To drive a company vehicle, applicants must be aged 21 or over, have held a licence for at least 3 months, and have fewer than 9 points.
