Gas & Air Source Heat Pump Installer
Location: Portsmouth
Your Responsibilities:
1. Lead the delivery of on-site works including installations and servicing of heat pumps, hot water cylinders, and thermal storage systems
2. Carry out central heating system installations and repairs in domestic and commercial settings
3. Provide technical supervision and support to team members on-site
4. Diagnose and repair faults across a range of heating systems
5. Install, upgrade, and maintain heating, plumbing, sanitation, and HVAC systems
6. Ensure compliance with PAS 2030, MCS, and Gas Safe regulations
7. Complete work records via PDA or digital systems
8. Participate in out-of-hours callouts and overtime where required
9. Adhere to all health & safety procedures, including hazard reporting
10. Maintain a high standard of customer service and professionalism on every job
What You'll Need:
11. Experience in the local authority or social housing sector
12. Strong knowledge of heating and domestic appliance installations
13. Proven experience with PAS 2030-compliant installs
14. Background in fault finding and maintenance of commercial/domestic systems
15. Familiarity with BMS, system controls, and press-fit pipework
16. Strong commitment to health & safety standards
17. Excellent communication and customer service skills
Essential Qualifications:
18. NVQ Level 2/3 in Domestic Plumbing (or City & Guilds equivalent)
19. Level 3 Award in the Installation & Maintenance of Heat Pump Systems (C&G, BPEC, or LCL Awards)
20. G3 Unvented Hot Water Cylinder Certification
21. Water Regulations Certificate
22. Full, clean UK Driving Licence
