Hybrid working – based in Nuneaton, with an expectation that you'll be in the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
About the Role
As a People Services Assistant, you'll be the first point of contact for our People Operations team – helping colleagues and managers navigate key moments in their journey with us. From day one to day done, you'll deliver trusted, human support that keeps things moving smoothly and compliantly.
* Act as the first point of contact for People queries, offering clear and supportive guidance.
* Manage HR tickets, calls and live chat across starters, changes and leavers.
* Process key lifecycle activities including onboarding, internal moves, parental leave and flexible working.
* Maintain accurate and compliant colleague records in line with GDPR.
* Manage workload through Zendesk, prioritising to meet service levels.
* Spot risks early and elevate complex or sensitive cases appropriately.
* Work closely with teams across HR, including Employee Relations and Resourcing.
* Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying trends and recurring queries.
Qualifications
* Experience in an HR or People Services environment.
* Strong understanding of HR processes and compliance, including Right to Work and GDPR.
* Confidence handling queries and explaining things clearly and simply.
* Great attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks at pace.
* Solution-focused mindset with a proactive approach to problem solving.
* Comfort using digital tools and systems to manage queries and data.
* Collaborative approach and genuine care for colleague experience.
