We are seeking a motivated and detail-focused Accounts Administrator to join our finance team on a part-time, job share basis. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting our finance operations, ensuring accurate processing of invoices, reconciliations, and payments while maintaining high standards of organisation and communication.
Responsibilities:
• Process purchase invoices promptly and accurately
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies
• Generate and process sales invoices
• Record and allocate customer payments
• Process payments received via card, bank transfer, or other methods
• Assist with answering overflow calls in a professional and courteous manner
• Maintain accurate and organised financial records in line with company procedures
• Previous experience in an accounts or finance administration role
• Strong understanding of purchase and sales ledger processes
• Excellent numerical and data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and Outlook) and Xero accounting software
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines within a part-time schedule
Remuneration:
• Salary: £25,500 FTE (pro rata for 16 hours per week)
• Permanent, part-time role (Monday & Thursday, 08:30 – 17:00)
