Clinical Fellow in Neonatal Transport, Scotstar

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Specialist Transport and Retrieval (ScotSTAR) team. This is a multidisciplinary, national service that provides safe transfer for the most unwell patients within NHS Scotland. The clinical teams transport patients, from babies through to children and adults by road and air. The expert teams include doctors, nurses and paramedics.

This exciting post offers the opportunity to work within the dynamic, multidisciplinary neonatal transport team to provide elective and emergency neonatal transport services across Scotland. The successful candidate will work on the rota alongside our ANNPs and rotating trainees, working under the supervision of a 24/7 neonatal transport consultant tier and with dedicated neonatal transport nurses and drivers, working from a purpose built base located within Glasgow airport. You can look forward to a warm welcome and strong support from colleagues.

This is a fixed term position for 6 months with the possibility of extending to 1 year. The appointment is a full time position of 40 hours of week, consideration will be given for reduced hours where requested by the applicant. The shift pattern consists of 08.00 to 20.00 day shifts and 20.00-08.00 on call/night shifts.

Applications are invited from trainee doctors who have recently completed or about to finish Core Medical Training or equivalent to apply for the position of Clinical Fellow in Neonatal Transport. Applicants should have full GMC registration and a licence to practise.

This post will be on the Speciality Doctor payscale and paid at a point to be determined by previous experience.
