Join Siemens Healthineers MR Magnet Technology, a leading designer and manufacturer of superconducting magnets for MRI. Our new £250m facility in Bicester will produce our DryCool technology, powering the future of sustainable MRI. This role can be based at either Bicester or Oxford.

Responsibilities
* Comply with Health, Safety & Environmental policies, conduct audits, investigate incidents.
* Deploy the business strategy, implementations and communications; act as first point of contact for issues and seek resolution.
* Provide clear direction, act as inspirational leader and coach to the manufacturing unit.
* Work with support functions to meet customer needs and expectations.
* Implement schedules, methods and processes; allocate manpower and resources.
* Support and drive continuous improvement and a structured problem‑solving culture.
* Identify opportunities for business improvement through KPI analysis and maintain visual manufacturing dashboards.
* Motivate and develop the team, comprising cell leaders and lead technicians.
* Ensure all manufacturing activities are resourced and managed, including introduction of new products and processes.
* Own, define and control operational budgets and costs.
* Achieve business and departmental objectives such as quality, productivity and output.
* Develop people performance through training, coaching and performance management.
* Set clear team objectives and review performance regularly.
* Establish regular departmental performance reviews with cell leaders and lead technicians.
* Prepare cost‑centre budget proposals and manage expenditures.
* Apply HPS methods where applicable.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in a similar manufacturing environment and leadership skills.
* Excellent facilitation and communication with all organisational levels and external customers.
* Experience managing manufacturing processes in a technical production environment.
* Positive attitude and problem‑solving ability.
* Proven knowledge of Lean and business improvement techniques; self‑motivated and able to motivate the team.
* Minimum GCSE grade C or equivalent in English, Maths and Sciences; evidence of qualifications in Lean or Six Sigma desirable; a business or engineering degree desirable.
* IT skills – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
